Helsinki, Finland

Touched down late at night in Helsinki and we took a bus to the Central station. I was already missing the snow.

We got kinda lazy and decided to take a cab from there to Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Helsinki. The hotel was gorgeous, very modern. Their king bed was huge!

Bathroom interior goals.

They even welcomed us with a honeymoon fruit platter.

Amazing view from our room.

The first time we saw the sun shining so brightly ever since we arrived in Finland. Took a tram down town.

Arrived at Kaartinkaupunki, bought our ferry tickets to Suommenlinna.

We had some time to spare, so breakfast! Fluffy pancakes dusted with sugar icing and a cuppa hot chocolate.

The ferry ride took approximately half an hour.

The King's gate. What a magnificent view.

Ferry ride back to Helsinki.

Christmas market at Central square in rows of colourful houses.

In search of famous restaurants on tripadvisor, but we got rejected by the top rated as it was fully booked when we arrived at the restaurant.

We settled on Passio Keittio Ja Baari.

The freshest trout I've ever tasted in my life.

This piece of pork was divine. Look at how pink it is!

I would say the pork and trout were the only two dishes that we appreciated out of that five course meal, the rest were pretty mediocre. The meal cost us about EU$200.

After our three hour long fine dining meal, I was hoping to do some sopping, but the shops were all closed by then. When we stepped out, it was snowing!

I was absolutely delighted! I ended up dancing in the snow in front of our hotel.
