Detoxxx

My detox plan failed miserably. The boy is still striving on. I gave up on the first day, or rather the first half of the day haha. But I still managed to eat all vegetables and fruits today and maybe some cha soba noodles, one egg and some biscuits. Feels as tho my day isn't completed without a full meal. I'm so hungry now it's making me angry, but I'm not going to let all my effort go to waste. Gonna head to bed soon, gnight.

V

Think masks, gondolas and the only transport is via boat. Yeaps, it's none other than Venice. We travelled by foot and everywhere looks almost identical, we got lost, we always do, nothing new. I liked that it actually feels quite safe to roam around even at night b'cuz the main route is a one-way street kinda pathway, so you either go forth or turn around and head in the other direction. Am I making any sense here? We got lost only b'cuz we were exploring the smaller alleys, but if you just follow the main route, you'll get home/back to your hotel somehow haha.

Venice by night.

What do you eat when you're in Italy? Pasta and pizza of course. We stepped into this restaurant b'cuz it stated that it has free wifi. I read the menu and saw this lobster pasta dish for 8 euros and excitedly told the boy that I wanted to get that. The boy ordered it for me as we really wanted to try how good authentic italian pasta was and he completely didn't tell me that it was 8 euros per 100g or something along that line. And when the dish was served, this was his reaction hahaha. In his mind, it must be playing.. omg, how much is this gonna cost me. It was a gigantic lobster. Thankfully, our bill amounted to about 60 euros, we were guessing it to hit about 100. I felt kinda cheated by the menu, the "per 100 grams" were barely visible. I really thought that I found affordable lobster pasta in an Italian restaurant. Okay, my bad for not paying attention to details, but the pasta was worst than average and so was the boy's pizza. Anyway, I learnt my lesson that day and read my menu word for word from then on. It was our first meal in Italy, so it really brought my standards for Italian food down. Just check out that face.

The vainpot in me decided to get a mask just to camwhore in the gondola. I mean, hey, it's a once in a lifetime ride, must look good. The masks in Venice were so beautiful. I would have gotten more if it weren't so costly. Our gondola ride cost 80 euros for about 40 mins. There are different prices all over Venice, you gotta pick the right one.

This is the Italian who rowed our gondola. He sang for us and he speaks to himself too haha.

V for Venice.

For the sweet toothed boy. We had a lot of ice cream too. Authentic Gelato in Italy.

Venice was lovely. We didn't manage to take the boat and cross over to the other island, I would return and explore that island if I had the chance.

Zurich, Switzerland

Checked into Hotel Hirschen in the evening and we headed out to explore Zurich even tho it was drizzling as we were only staying for a night. They say that Zurich is famous for their clocks.

Our hotel.

Always had to watch out for traffic as the trains/trams come by really quickly.

Clock towers.

My fave boy.

Swiss flags, everywhere.

Climbing up to get a full view of Zurich.

Rewarded with this.

Was told by Serr that the night view's very romantic, so the boy dragged me out even tho I already had my bath and was very lazy haha.

Pretty impressed I would say. What say you?
