It was our second time to Edinburgh. Our first visit there left me a deep impression.
The first time we were there, we conquered Arthur's Seat, had a gigantic bruise on my shin from a flying kick by the boy while he was slipping his way down Arthur's Seat. It was hilarious. He slipped thrice, well but they say third time's a charm.
We also visited Mary King's Close, where we went underground to where people actually lived back in the olden days, it was so historic and creepy at the same time. There was a huge embarrassing moment where I screamed in the Plague room b'cuz the guide gave me a huge scare. We were told that back in the days, their streets were actually covered with shit up to knee level. (P.S. I might do another entry on my first visit/UK tour some other time.)
So much to take in, yet so little time. This time, we went back again just for a few days, to catch the day tour to Loch Ness. It was a five hour bus ride.
Cattles at one of the stops.
Took the cruise in search of Nessie.
We get to see the frequency of what's under the water.
The Nessie stickers on the glass windows were adorable.
We were blessed with great weather.
But still no sign of Nessie.
Friendly little boy.
There's something about the water that takes my breath away.
Just look at how clear the water reflection is.
Still in doubt.
Scottish cottages.
The day tour wasn't as good as what we expected. We were only given one and a half hours upon arrival, the cruise itself already took us an hour, which left us with barely enough time to explore the town. And there we go again, another five hour bus ride back.
Our virgin experience on a propeller plane onward to Dublin, which turned out to be a horrible experience (more on that in the next post).
Fly me to the moon and let me play among the stars.
