The Boy's 24th

Clock strikes at midnight and he was right by my side, sneakily planted him kisses while we were in the backseat. We were on our way home from the airport after welcoming home Sissy, who's here to stay for a week.

Planned on going for a buffet lunch, but some issues cropped up. To be honest, I was really displeased with their customer service, I guess a hungry man is really an angry man (lady in my case). Fortunately, I decided to try Tampopo out, and it turned out to be of the boy's liking. It was a surprise to me b'cuz he is always picky about food, but he loved the tonkatsu there. Here's our table full of food. The gyoza was pretty yums too.

This is my XO ramen. I have a thing for spicy food, if you don't already know.

The boy's tonkatsu.

If you like fried stuff, you can probably give this place a try. They are famous for their tonkatsu.

My #OOTD

Happy 24th Birthday, Love! May all your wishes come true.

The highly raved about Hai Di Lao, for the birthday dins with his family. Just like what everyone said, the ingredients are very fresh. Soup bases are not bad, I haven't had Mala hotpot for quite awhile, so I was pleased with getting my tongue numb. Just for the record, I love steamboats/hotpots especially spicy ones. & we had a "la-mian" dance for us from the chef as well. Their service is really top-notch. They prepare plastics for us to place our phones in, also provide hair ties. Their staffs are extremely warm and friendly, they are always on the lookout and asking if we need help like de-shelling the prawns and stuffs like that. We had a reservation so we didn't have to wait, but those who were on the waiting list could have free manicure sessions and were provided with snacks like popcorn, longans, etc. This is what I call top-notch service.

We told them in advance that we were there for a birthday celebration. They presented us w this plate of beautifully decorated fruits and sang a birthday sang and even gave him presents. Although the stuff toy rabbit was a lil inappropriate for him, but it is the thought that counts. We were really taken by surprise.

I highly recommend this place for hotpot.

Headed back to the boy's place for cake cutting thereafter.

Very light and fluffy strawberry cake. Those who know me well would know that I am not a cake person, but this cake blew me away.

As I was saying, Sissy's home for the week, this time without Andrew as he has work commitments. It's good in a way that we can have her to ourselves. It has been a pretty hectic week, in a good kind of way, everyday is packed and lined up with stuffs to do w Sissy. Trying to spend as much time as I can w her before she flies back again. We went to meet the extended family for lunch and karaoke session at Temasek Club on Saturday.

My #OOTD. I was told that I looked like a school girl, not much of a compliment I figured.

Sissy, who has been living in Melbourne for the past 6 years. She's now working as a Psychologist there and I am very proud of her achievements. We are very different in character, dressing and tastes, but I still love her all the same. Come visit more often!

Time to party w the boys. Birthday celebration for the boy part two.

Thankful for all of them and Adora as well, for making it happen, for the effort and definitely for the company. Tasted the best grilled chix wings done by the chef. Hope ya'll had fun singing and dancing the night away.

Have been bringing Sissy to have her favourite local cuisines and I have been eating so much and not taking the time out to gym. It's not helping when CNY is approaching as well.

Mr. Crabby says hi.
