The Past Week x Birthday Boy

Glimpse of the sunset, taken on a pretty special day.

On the last day of the first semester, I brought the kiddos to Genki Sushi. Acted like tourists and took selfies with the festive lightings. Our first weekend with absolutely nothing on our plates. Now we're back to school for our vacation module, another semester to go and we're done.

His Grandpa's birthday dins.

Friends at work that I am thankful for. A farewell for Gev & Gail. Definitely gonna be much quieter. Gonna miss you both so much x

Buffet Town. I'm not made for buffets at all, probably ate only a quarter of my money spent. After this plate of sashimi, I was almost done.

Salt Tapas to meet the rest.

Mischief after.

Never got around to posting pictures from the boy's birthday. Booked this suite at my uncle's karaoke and we were served like kings and queens.

Had our very own pool table.

Thank you to all who came by and celebrated this special day with him. It meant a lot.
Dear you, hope that you had a blast x

The Clan Restaurant

Heard quite a handful of good reviews about The Clan Restaurant, so we decided to save this place for a special date of ours. The day of my birthday was also the day we turn four.

It was a six-course meal. I'm not a big eater, but I've always been fond of romantic dinners like this.

Lemon shots to get our appetite rollin'.

Scallops, Chawanmushi and Rice. Loved everything except the foam on the scallop.

His Oysters.

My Alaskan King Crab with greens. I'm not fond of salads, so I passed my greens to the boy and when the waiter saw this, he gave me an extra serving of Alaskan King Crab, which was really nice of him.

His Pork Belly.

My Soft-Shell Crab, which turned out to be a really big portion, it was really crispy on the outside and piping hot on the inside. The sauce complemented really well.

His Seafood Soup, which was alright, we wanted to try the Crab Bisque but a pity that it wasn't on the menu that night.

My Mushroom Soup topped with Truffle oil. I liked this. Mushrooms were just right, not bitter at all and the Truffle oil definitely made it very fragrant.

His Lamb Shank, which was pretty tender.

My Duck Confit, which imho, isn't as good as Saveur's. The waiter recommended us to try the Beef though. I was already quite bloated at this point and couldn't finish my main.

A complimentary Tiramisu birthday cake for me.

Desserts were Cheesecake, which was to the boy's liking.

& Molten Lava Cake with Ice Cream.

My Prince Charming for the night.
Here's to many more Anniversaries to come.

Birthday Celebrations

Blessed to have my family and friends celebrating my birthday with me this year. For the past three years, I have been spending my birthdays overseas. Don't get me wrong, I love spending my birthdays overseas, but I couldn't this year due to commitments, and I am glad that they took the time to make me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

It has always been a tradition to celebrate our birthdays at hotels/buffets, so this year was no different. We headed to Orchard Hotel for their hotel buffet, Daddy's treat! Mommy gave me a ginormous red packet, which only means more holiday trips for me haha.

The folks and I, love them to bits.

I am not a cake person (don't judge me), but I have somehow learnt to at least take a bite out of each of my birthday cakes, so that my wishes will come true.

#OOTD

My caged booties that have been worn to death, can't help that they are so comfortable and chic.

Karaoke with my boys & Shuang.

Thank you guys for literally ending my night on a high note.

My fave birthday cake from Chocolate Origin by the boy. His family had a celebration for me too. They know that I'm a sucker for steamboats, so we had steamboat with flower crabs and I received a red packet too.

Thank you Uncle, Auntie & Shuyi!

Last but not least, a very belated celebration with the girls.

Even tho it was just a simple meal together, it was lovely. Reminiscing about the good old times is definitely what we do best.

They even handmade me a card, sweetest notes inside.

I guess everyone has post-birthday blues b'cuz on that one special day/week you're being treated like a princess. Nonetheless, still grateful for the celebrations and so much love. :')

Weekends x

Weekends are made of this. It's official that you're no longer young or a bum when you're looking forward to TGIF every week. My shopping haul from BKK has definitely spiced up my dull wardrobe.

Finally decided on bowling after hours and I would like to say that I did a pretty good job.

Mich's birthday at KPO.

Travelled all the way to Upper Bukit Timah, Gangnam Style at The Rail Mall, for Mother's Day lunch.

My caged booties which I adore.

Diggin' the classic, simple style.

A tinge of pink.

Midweek, two more days and we're through.

To a certain someone, please get well soon.
