This isn't the first time the boy has clinched us good air ticket deals, previously it was to Perth and this time, he got us a really good deal just in time for our long weekend. What better way to celebrate and welcome the long weekend indulging in food and being in shopping heaven. Hello +66.
My cousin recommended that we give Centre Point Pratunam Hotel a try as it was considerably cheap. It was really spacious, even had our own kitchen but the air con was really noisy and the water heater was quite a pain in the ass.
We had a great view of BKK city from our hotel room.
The thing about BKK is that you can get cheap and good thai food anywhere and to be honest, Platinum Fashion Mall's food court never fails.
My favourite kway chap, this is even better than SG's.
Over-ordered at Hongmin Chinese Restaurant located at MBK 3rd level and had so much leftovers. We came to BKK when we just got together and tried out this restaurant and the scallops with XO sauce was really good, so we decided to come back to give it another shot.
The fried rice with crab paste was disappointing.
Garlic prawns with soy sauce. Prawns were not cooked to perfection, a little soggy.
The star dish. I love their XO sauce.
Salad prawns. This was good but it was a really huge serving.
Oyster omelette that I didn't like.
Mango Tango at Siam Square.
Mango Lassi.
Mango pudding, mango ice cream and mango sticky rice. Mango overload.
Teabreak at Somtam Restaurant at Soi 5 for their famous chix wings.
Strawberry fizz drink.
Candid shot of the boy. So handsome omg. I want to have such a nice smile too. I really like people with big bright smiles that warm your heart and make you feel happy too.
Chix wings that make you go ooh-lala. Topped with crispy fried garlic.
My swag cap.
Bought food back to the hotel b'cuz we were so tired from shopping and I started running a fever. Thankfully, it went away by the next morning. I don't understand why do I always fall sick when I am overseas. So frustrating. It's the nth time this has happened.
On Sunday, we woke up early to head to Big C and we spent like SGD$100 on junk food there.
Tomyam fishball noodles at Platinum Fashion Mall's food court.
Centre Point Pratunam Hotel gave us a complimentary late check-out till 6pm so we still had time to go back to the hotel to pack our bags and enjoy A&W before heading to the airport.
Currrrly fries.
Our flight got delayed for an hour.
Not very fond of their airport food but we've got no choice. This was at Mango Tree.
Phad Thai.
I love traveling with the boy. Thankful that he is always taking care of me. To many more adventures together!
Funny picture haha got my camera ready and called his name so he turned around and I snapped.
It was a really impromptu trip, booked on Thursday and we flew off in the wee hours of Friday. Just check out the amount of food that we ate over the past three days, we really are monsters. It really is a food and shopping paradise. I've missed you, BKK. We'll see you again soon.
